Neshoba Unitarian Universalist Church

Next Sunday

February 14, 2016 - Sermon Topic: “A Milk Dud and a Daisy”
It is Valentine’s Day, a day set aside for lovers and intimate friends to mark their love, usually through the giving of some tangible gift such as flowers, chocolates, jewelry,<br />gifts. The merchants and vendors are vigorously hawking their wares through print and media ads that can be hard to resist or ignore. How do we respond, and what does it mean for those among us who have little with which to respond, materially? We will be looking at this day through several lenses, including the lens of Escalating Inequality.

Our Vision:

To be the church of choice in the Mid-South for people who seek the divine through free religious inquiry and inclusive social witness.

Our Affirmation of Covenant:

Love is the doctrine of this church, the quest for truth is its sacrament, and service is its prayer. To dwell together in peace, to seek knowledge in freedom, to serve human need, to the end that all souls shall grow into harmony with the Divine, thus do we covenant with each other and with God.
