Neshoba's many interest groups provide an additional opportunity to expand intellectually, explore spiritually, and interact socially that goes beyond our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services. Most groups meet monthly, either at member's homes or at Neshoba. All Members are invited and encouraged to participate in one or more interest groups, and friends are always welcome. Please click the contact addresses below or contact the church office at 266-2626 for more information.
Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS) (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS) is an organization dedicated to networking Pagan-identified Unitarian Universalists (UUs), educating people about Paganism, promoting interfaith dialogue, developing Pagan liturgies and theologies, and supporting Pagan-identified UU religious professionals. Neshoba's chapter meets at 7pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Their rituals and workshops often serve as centerpieces of Wednesday Night Live.
Book Club (email@example.com)
The Book Club loves books, loves discussing them, and loves welcoming visitors. We meet every month to discuss our latest great (or not-so-great) read. We hope to inspire creative personal and spiritual exploration and expression through reading. The Book Club meets at 7pm on the second Thursday of each month.
Men’s Group (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The Men’s Group is open to all men 18 years of age or older. Both Members and Friends are welcome to be a part of our fellowship.
The Men’s Group typically meets monthly at a member’s home for a potluck supper and discussion. Periodically during the year, the monthly meeting is substituted by an event in the area – e.g. a sporting event, a church event, a community activity, or an annual retreat. Please see the calendar for specifics on this month’s Men’s Group gathering. The Men's Group meets on the first Monday of each month for potluck supper and discussion, and on the third Thursday morning for breakfast.
Women Of Wisdom (WOW) (email@example.com)
Women of Wisdom is an affiliation and support group for women in the church community. WOW is open to all women of Neshoba Church for socializing and discussion of issues related to changes in women's lives and roles as we grow older. We gather at 6:30 on the second Monday of each month. Please see the Calendar for the meeting location and topics.
Writer's Group (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The Writer's Group exists to inspire creative personal and spiritual exploration and expression through writing. Writers of all levels of ability and all genres are welcome to attend. You need not plan to present on original work to attend the meeting. The Writer's Group meets at 12:15 on the third Sunday of each month.
Joining the choir not only adds so much to our worship life, but it is a great way to meet people. The choir meets for warmup each Sunday morning at 10am and rehearses every Thursday night at 7pm (except the second week).
